Zig's musical roots trace back to the 1970s when he began his musical journey. By 1980, he was on the road with the band "Brother to Brother." During his travels, he met George Wise in 1979, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Simultaneously, Zig delved into nuclear work as a video engineer, specializing in robotics, fiber optics, and crafting specialized solutions for critical situations, such as the Three Mile Island nuclear disaster.

A significant chapter in Zig's life unfolded when he became a member of the Three Mile Island recovery team, where he played a pivotal role in saving lives during one of the most devastating nuclear disasters in history. His commitment to disaster recovery was unwavering, with experiences spanning 25 hurricanes and multiple nuclear crises.

Beyond his contributions to crisis response, Zig's talents extend to the arts. He is a gifted songwriter, performer, and executive producer, leaving an indelible mark on North Carolina's music and film industry.

Zig's entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of the Coastal Entrepreneurial Council. This council played a crucial role in supporting the film industry in Wilmington, North Carolina. With the help of notable figures like Dennis Hopper and Bill Arnold, as well as backing from investment banks and the University of North Carolina, Zig's council provided essential support to independent filmmakers. They assisted these filmmakers in developing business plans and securing the financing needed to bring their creative visions to life.

In the 1990s, Zig crossed paths with Blake Scott, marking the beginning of a prolific musical partnership. Together, they've produced seven albums, two of which are currently pending release. Their music touches on pressing topics, offering a poignant reflection on the challenges faced since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.

Adding to his remarkable journey, Zig Zack has a background in the medical industry, having served seven hospitals as a respiratory therapist. His expertise in pandemic response extends to federal, state, local, and business realms, providing invaluable insights to hospitals and medical professionals.

In addition to his many other accomplishments, Zig Zack has also made a significant impact as an educator. His passion for teaching led him to share his knowledge in public schools, universities, and businesses. He even pioneered a two-way interactive video network to teach inmates and help them obtain degrees from major colleges and universities across North Carolina.
